Eagle point campsite, West Cork.

We were thinking about going camping next weekend over in West Cork and I've heard good things about Eagle point, so I had a look at their website. The site looks lovely and there appears to be a good range of facilities, but by god when I saw the nightly rates for unit+2+2 @ €35 per night PLUS an additional €3 for hookup!

I think we'll look into booking a local hotel instead, and for a few euros more, let someone else make the bed...

Call me cranky, but I think €38 per night is ridiculous.

I agree with you a B&B would only be a few € more
and who said you could take time off to go camping there is over 1000 of us waiting to see your rebuilt RV

Prices of Campsites in Ireland are ridiculous, that is why campers wild camp where ever possible. Dunmore East was one of the favourites for this until greed reared its ugly head as is the case in 99% of all Campsites in Ireland. Towns like Cobh County Cork will reap the rewards for their forward thinking Approach to parking for Campers / Motorhomes. Other Councils around the country should take note of Cobh's Vision for Tourism and the benefit it brings to the local economy. Went there on Sunday Last with two other Motorhomes arrived just in time to see a cruise liner coming up the harbour and docking. What a wonderful sight was told by a local lady that this particular liner was only a small one compared to most that call to the port, I thought it was a big ship but apparently not. She told us that a Liner Called The Splendour Of The Seas Would Be Calling In 2 Weeks Time and That This Was a Big Big Liner. We will definitely Be Going Back To Cobh To See This Monster On Water. Was only in Cobh for two hours on Sunday but still managed between the three Motorhomes to Spend 123. 91. So Cobh will benefit from visiting Camper / Motorhomes and deservedly so. What a wonderful Aires The Council Have Put In Place. They are to be Congratulated for their Vision.
