Donegal Food Festival

I was at the Food Festival in Donegal which is on all week end today and WOW. It was fantastic and lots of people there. As it was a the Pier where motorhomes usually park, they made facilities for overnight parking for motorhomes at St John's Bosco Car Park. This was very convenient to the town etc. There were about 15 motorhomes there and can you imagine what they contributed to the economy of the town. We spent about 300 euros. A meal on thevFriday night and lots of produce at the Food Festival. I talked to many business people in the town and they are delighted to have motorhomes in the town. It's great to spend ones money where you know you are welcome. The Food Festival is definitely worth a visit.

Sounds like you had a great time and you took the opportunity to promote the image of motorhomers too. :)

Jack, when you are next here remind me to give you some business cards. We were handing them out in Belturbet to all the shops - restaurants etc we visited.
They say:

Quote
Your business was visited by a Motorhome owner today, if your council provided Motorhome parking then this would be a common occurence.

Yeah I gave out leaflets in Donegal Itowm, Killybegs and Buncrana to Motorhomers who never heard of Craic. Hopefully they will join. I left a few leaflets in the Tourist Office in Buncrana. Thebguybtherevwas most interested and the Council there see the benefit tonthebevonomy and are extending the Aire over the winter. Good News.
