As the title says, "Hello everyone".

We are Jock & Rita, and may be known to other members of the forum.

Unfortunately, we are both still working, albeit part time, but would hope to drastically reduce that employment (pack it in altogether more like) in the not too distant future, in the persuance of some serious travelling. (One can dream on hopefully. ;-) )

Cheers for now,

Jock & Rita.

Thanks to all for the friendly welcome. It is much appreciated. :-)

We did visit Ireland in our MH back in 2006, sailing from Fishguard to Rosslare, and stayed overnight in a pub car park in Broadway, (thanks to info from the chairman of the MCC of Irelend). We then made our way up towards Dublin, taking in the Wicklow Gap, Glendalough, and the Wissington Lakes. What a shame there were height barriers at some of these beautifully scenic locations, preventing us from overnighting. :( After staying at Camac Valley, Dublin, we headed north to meet up with friends and ralliers at Armagh, where after a few days, we intended to head for the Atlantic coast, and make our way around the north to Belfast. Unfortunately, Mother in Scotland was taken seriously ill, so we headed straight for Belfast, and sailed to Stranraer, then drove to Ayr.

We have unfinished touring to do in Ireland, but the ferry costs are astronomical for an 8 mtr MH, compared to the the Dover/Calais/Dunkerque routes. I know it's the wrong forum, but if there are any links to cheaper ferry prices for Ireland, please point Rita and I in that direction, for future holiday plans perhaps.

Cheers for now,

Jock (& Rita). :-)

Jock,

Always try http://www.nutttravel.com/ for a quote also, sometimes it comes up great. You will get the Stena deal and then pick a racing event, whether it be cars/motorbikes whatever, that is on during your visit and you might get more discount as he is a race supporter.
