Credit due to Buncrana Town Council, such a pity other Councils can't see the opportunity they are missing out on. I've stopped here before and the Tourist Information staff are excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Made to feel really welcome and I think they may be planning on developing another Aire as well. Interesting wee article here .... http://www.visitinishowen.com/blog

Yeah we hope to stop off a night in Buncranna next week end and knowing my wife we will have to have a meal out. Theres euros going into the local economy.

New Official Stop Overs ( Aires ) opened in Cobh, Midleton, Bandon, Co Cork.

There is a bar & restaurant about 50 yards away called the Drift Inn we had a great evening meal and a couple of drinks in there for 32eu so can't complain, a café/deli opposite and just for a bit more option the Inishowen Gateway hotel is about 100 yards up the road. All handy as no taxi or long walks involved.

Try "Oscars" on the Main Street. €22 euro for three course meal and a drink!! very nice
