hi all, just re-joined. Owner of hymer 544 for 3 years which is now 22 years old. Tend to day trip only at home but we take 5 weeks in europe each summer with three youngish kids. I am a fan of older vans as Ive had a belly full of modern engine gremlins on family cars to do me a lifetime. I like to tinker as it makes sense to be able to fix things when away. Just bacl from a round trip from Donegal to Italy via Germany and France inc trips to Italian Alps for my high cycling fix, then Italian lakes, then Italian Riviera, then Provence, then French Alps (more cycling), then Disney.

Welcome back to the Craic.

That sounds like a high mileage trip.

Hi ya hymer544
Welcome to the craic. I'm a fan of the classics myself.
What part of glorious Donegal are you in, let us know about what's in your area to keep tourism finance flowing, Hopefully not Bundoran after how they treated a motorhomers recently, but the remainder of Donegal is of particular interest to those of us in Northern Ireland

yes Mark 5300 troublefree Km, apart from roofbox blowing open on autoroute into Gap!!

and Chevy g20 there seems to be a pretty good attitude to MH in Donegal. Buncrana have even fitted an Aire behind the tourist office. Anywhere in Inishowen, Fanad and many places along the NW coastline like Portnablagh Pier, Bunbeg, Cruit Island etc...many places listed on this forum on the map are familiar to me from years of coastal hopping and I can verify many of them as safe places to onight. Seems to be becoming more attractive to foreign visitors too which os great.
