It surely wont do us any good indeed, And we make all our Poi's freely aveable for everyone, makes me wonder are we just providing spots to be abused by others!.

Good point, we should maybe make them for subscribed members only again. What does everyone think?

This is most certainly not good for motorhomer's as we will be looked upon with suspicion by the general public when we park up in places. If this becomes something which occurs on a more regular basis then this will lead to more negative press and more reason for councils Etc. to restrict the places motorhomes can park up. I agree that the POI's should be restricted to subscribed members only as open access to them could lead to the wrong people using them.
Its becoming more and more common as a large number of sites will not allow anyone with a van/pickup to come on site and some of them will even refuse a twin axle caravan, the travelers know this and have started to move across to motorhomes and smaller less conspicuous caravans. I know I had a number of refusals when I had my twin axle hobby which I towed with a Navara pickup and some of them only relented when I gave them a landline number and not the usual mobile one!

Hope they don`t try to buy something in that particular Aldi as they refused to accept our cards at Easter as they were all UK based, we had to go across the road to the cash machine. Should have walked away and left the goods at the checkout.
How do we know the difference between the travelers and the rest of us as we`re all looking somewhere to stay for nothing and sometimes in large numbers.

poi information should be only available to subscribed members only .
I see that quite a few of you are in favour of subscribed members only. But since that quite a few of the Po'i are submitted by Free Members, would it not be unfair to them if they are for subscribed members only ?.
This is just my thought on this any other suggestions are very welcome.
Personally I find it hard to believe people who pay the prices of motorhomes cannot find another €10 to subscribe.
Ally put a lot of hours into this site and i know from talking to him that most of the subscriptions go towards the running costs and new updates etc.
Is it possible there are people out there who dont know the difference between a member and a subscribed member.

It is only 10euro to subscribe ,just the price of a couple of drinks for a years knowledge in the Motorhome scene not to mention all the discounts available.

members only for poi's. I don't think that will stop our cousin's from moving in to POI's and setting up camp, a member of the garda told me that if you have no overnight parking signs up it is easier to move them on

Good post Mark, some people cannot accept that it takes money to keep the world going round and are willing to free load on the backs of everyone else who are willing to pay their way.
My view is that the people who subscribe should have something that the others do not have.

Come on you non subscribers, subscribe its only the cost of 2 pints on Stena or a bottle of wine and its for a whole year and it costs. A lot of money to service the site.
When you look at the other sites available they all have restricted areas for subscribed members and rightly so. Those who pay the small amount will get this information and when you add this to the other discount benefits we get then surely it is a no brainer.
Unfortunately it may be too late as most of the POI`s have probably already been downloaded
Would agree with thePOI question, subscribed members only. As to the "cousins" issue, the law is there to sort it but not the political will. The guards are told hands off in most cases. Its time revenue took an interest in this situation as well and find out how people who are on welfare can afford these vehicles and if they cannot provide that information, confiscate them.

I agree with all that has been said. Perhaps we need to look at how we manage our publicity so that people understand that there is a difference between travellers and Mohtohomers. Responsible motorhomes bring benefits while travellers don't. Maybe the right publicity and education is the way to fight this problem.

I don't really use the POI's and still I am a paid member for the fantastic information that you guys provide! It is small money for a lot of information and a great place to ask for help or info. Keep up the great work and the best place is members area!
Thanks to all involved.
