I will be moving house soon and want to self install a FTA multi room system.
If there is already a dish in place I plan to do the following;
Change LNB to an 8 connection one,
Feed all cables into the roof space and connect to a Stack of 6 FTA boxes ( 2 x recorders and 4 x without),
Feed the outlets from each box to the required rooms (6 rooms in total, 2 with record facility hence the 8 outlet LNB)
I would then use an eye type sensor on each room for the remote control.
I think this will make a neater setup than having a box in each room and would also mean each room has the ability to watch different channels at the same time.
I know it could be cheaper to used second hand sky boxes but there seems to be a better selection of channels on FTA.
Is there an easier or cheaper way of doing this?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
