Swimming pool located here -

51.935058,-7.859887

Google maps standard view is a little out of date and only shows a green field site where the pool is now. However, you can see it in street view mode.

200 yds to the beach, No pubs in the immediate vicinity. Nearest pub is about 2-3km away.

Barriers are in place at the entrance to the pool parking area, but in this street view, one of them is open. I dont know if this is the norm.

I wonder if the aire is going to be in this carpark? Or is it planned to be situated in a different site?

Theres a spot just up the road, closer to town that would be a great location for an aire. By the old abandoned railway station. Every time I pass it, it strikes me as a perfect spot for motorhomes.

It's great to hear of youghal's intention to build a Motorhome aire , but if it is too far out of town local business will not benefit from it's existance, Thats the reason I rarely use out of town camping sites. The site near the old railway station looks ideal!

May 2014 Youghal Town Council granted planning permission for 62 Bay Complex on 6acre site at Claycastle Beach beside Aura Leisure Centre.
Hopefully it will be built sometime now that economy is picking up 8-)

62 Bay Complex??
That huge, If it is where I think they are building it is far outside the Town with not a lot near it to attract me to use it. I hope they have done their home work and consulted Motorhomers with regards of what their requirements are. I personally would prefer to pay a small fee for a aire in a good location than a free one out in the sticks.

I was in Youghal on 3/10 and there was no sign of an Aire but Blags suggested site was a good one ,level beside the beach and water and waste could be piped in from old station
