Hi All
Has anyone been up to the wild camping spot at Tullagh Bay? Considering going that way this weekend.

Which one, there are two in Tullagh, if you turn right as you come into carndonagh you can go out the narrow road and stay at the parking area at the bridge or the other at the top end of the beach which has a rough road down to it, but is right beside the beach. We have been going there for years on day trips, with caravans and more recently the motorhome. For privacy the one at the top of the beach would probably be the best as the other is more of a car park and you could get others parking close beside you and it also has a 5min walk across the dunes to get to the waters edge.

Cheers. I think it was the one by the beach that I've been told about. I believe that's the one the coordinates take me to.

Thanks for the tips. Just spent a lovely Saturday night at Tullagh. Swam in the sea and fished for crabs. Just class, Quiet site, proper dark. The recent good weather has attracted a few messy campers, a bit of litter about. Had to take home a bit more rubbish than we took with us. Would recommend,but keep it quiet. Wouldn't want it to get too busy.

Looks nice , fancy an overnight there-- bit concerned about parking on grass though in such a remote location , is there any chance of getting stuck ?

I haven't been since the severe storms so don't know what the first one of the links is like, the second one is a Tarmac parking area so you would be okay there.

Just to say that we did go there and that grass parking spot would be ok for parking on, although we did not stay there as we arrived at sunset and no time to suss it out. We stayed at the campsite just over the dunes from the beach, nearly all static mobile homes but does have a few spaces for tourers. Only 10 euro if you don't need elec. Having the site security was good for us as we were able to leave the MH and tour the area, Malin head, Five fingers strand, Mamore gap , Famine Village ( well worth a visit ) etc.
