Hi, I bought a new front pipe exhaust for the Merc on E-Bay. when I took the old one off and set it beside the new one there was a difference of about 1/4 in! so I knew it would not clamp up!
I took the old pipe and new one to Dee,s exhaust They put the two exhausts in the jig and bent the new one to the same shape as the old one! I asked how much I owed them; no charge was the answer! Now where do you get that sort of service in this day and age. I left and returned with a box of M&S cream buns for their tea break. The front pipe clamped up fine and I put the rest of the exhaust on myself. dee,s can make an exhaust system in stainless steel from scratch!
