Well now that I worked out how to reply :'( with the help of admin I'll introduce myself, my name is Kevin I'm 50 years old and self employed, my main hobby is kayak angling, I don't own a motorhome yet but plan to purchase one next spring, if someone could offer advice on a motorhome that would suit me I'd be greatful, It would mostly be just me and the Mrs as the kids are no longer kids, I would probably wildcamp most of the time as where I fish is mostly remote, I like the low profiles with the large garage beneath the double bed(for all the rods and gear) but there would also be the need for a rack and ladder for the kayak which is thirteen foot long, I've had a look at a few online and spoken to the guy at Anchorpoint but really it's a bit of independant advice I'm looking for.
Thanks in Advance,
Kev. :-)

Welcome to Motorhomecraic Kevin - glad you eventually got on. Have you a layout you have picked/preferred for the Motorhome?

Welcome to the craic, Kevin!

It is a good Idea to visit a few Dealers and check out all of the differnt layouts.

Welcome to the Craic Kevin.

Just remember to pay more attention to suitable layout and factory fitted options. Everything else can be added by yourself once you have a van. It could be a mistake to buy a van because it has all the add ons only to discover later the layout isn't suitable.

Low profile vans are usually more economical than those with overcabs. There are also layouts which have kayak garages but they are quite rare.

Thanks for the welcome folks, I'm sure there's such a huge range of vans out there that its hard to be specific but is there any make or model thats more suitable for wildcamping or is it more in the way you set up the van yourself?,,,apologies if these are daft questions.

Depends, do you intend to go off-road? the usual C-Class Motorhomes are rubbish off-road, they are not even good on grass! :)
