Level 2 Heat Advisory has been issued for Northern Ireland.

This watch is issued when temperatures are to be high for more than 2 days.

A Level 2 advisory has been issued due to the high temperatures we are currently experiencing, With temperatures possibly reaching 27-28C today UV index is likely to be VERY HIGH, Please use sunscreen.

High temperatures can be dangerous, especially for:
the elderly the very young
people with chronic or long-term medical conditions

In a level two advisory, you don’t need to take immediate action, but following the advice below.

* Do not leave children or pets in cars on warm days
* Enjoy the weather but try to stay cool.
* Avoid going outside between 11am and 3pm as this is the hottest part of the day.
*Spend time in the shade and avoid strenuous activity.
*Help others: check up on neighbours, relatives and friends who may be less able to look after themselves (for example, if they have mobility problems).

*Drink water or fruit juice regularly.
