Forest Farm is a site outside Athy. I stayed at it last year and it was reasonably priced. It is a site set around an oval service road with about a dozen permanent mobile caravans and room for probably 20-30+ touring and the facilities including a kitchen and seating area and washing facilities are contained in a brick built bungalow in the centre. Because of the run of bad weather when I visited it was very quiet, and the grass had gotten long because it had been too wet to cut. There were a few folk there from the 'travelling workmen trades' installing gates and cattle crushes in the local area, but turned out to be friendly, quiet and pleasant. The owners were very nice even though they had had a few interrupted nights sleep in their b+b, with revellers returning from electric picnic. All in all it was a good place to stay.
