Athlone stopover

Hi All

Can anyone tell me if the area near the hotel in Athlone is still open as I have heard rumours that it has been closed down. I am going that way later on this week and would love to call there again.

I heard the same but swing by and see for your self as Roscommon co co said its illegal to park but didn't specify what penalty was for breaking the ban :bandit:

If it were me I'd have a look and judge for my self,

There is always the option of lough ree just on the outskirts of athlone

I was over to the hudson bay hotel on sat, i saw 2 campers parked but it was at lunch time, big sign saying no CAMPERVANS parking between 8pm and 8am(i think that were times)
as the fat controller says you can try Loughree east at the special rate to subscribers !5e pn. if you want to park safely.
