SWMBO always complained about a smell from the toilet, I could never smell it. But we got some of this off Willie @ RDLS - - Kem Direct toilet granules no more smells at all, in fact I never mentioned I had put it in and no mention of the toilet smell was made

There is the key...

Carol HATES the chemical toilet smell also. It reminds her of an incident we endured years ago trying to make Kinsale port in a storm (sailing). She was down below and didn't want to come up top side. The cabin stank of the loo chem due to the contents of the holding tank getting sloshed around by the stormy seas... She still vividly remembers the incident every time she gets a whiff of the stuff.

I must remember the name of those granules!

Agree even the blue has a whiff, with the granules we get nothing at all
