Hi Folks, does anyone know of a safe stopover - wild parking area in or near Doolin, co. Clare, please?

at easter, myself and mark parked overnight on the carpark facing the campsite.
you cant park on the harbour any more.

there were 4 vans in the car park we used and there was no problem.
toilet block and outside tap there also.

Just back from Doolin,we didn't stay at the above mentioned car park but we did have our breakfast at the harbour just yards from it. There were five vans in it and while the barrier was closed I didn't see any lock. For the vans to enter it had to be open so they probably close it in the evening.
We were at Mcganns pub........there's a disused lane way opposite which will take a van but I'm told you can park at back of pub if you have a drink/meal. McDermots pub fifty yards further up had several vans in it's car park
