HI, Is there a ferry or ship that could transport my camper and us to any port in northern spain from Southern Ireland, ie Cork or any southern port? every year there is talk that a ferry might run to northern spain; how wonderful would that be not having to go to France first and burn all that diesel to get to Spain. Dave.

There isnt one to Spain from Ireland, but one from Portsmouth however they are expensive and its a close call at times as to whether or not to drive or sail, drive and enjoy the journey.

The sailing from Portsmouth to Santandar is 24 hours, I think.
We have friends who live on the south coast of England who took it when going to Portugal with their car but I think it is very expensive.

thats <250E in diesel at 30mpg. The ferry would cost >660E. That motorway route isnt too bad for tolls so its a big hit to save a day?
Also ive sailed Biscay on Brittany ferries and whilst delivering a yacht and it can be a very unpleasant crossing if your any way wary of rough seas...just sayin!!
