We hope to go to France this year in October. We are planning to travel down from Cherbourg to Bordeaux area towing a trailer with Harry the Mehari behind.

I would like to hear folks opinions of Camping Cheques or an ASCI Card. I'm just wondering which is the best. I would hope as Aires are not busy that time of year to use them as well.

Have been to France in motorhome in October and you find a lot of campsites are not open a lot of them close in September but to be honest there s such an abundance of aires in France it's the only way to travel. If you buy the Book on aires it will give you full listing of all aires we go to France every year and this last few years we only stayed in aires using the guide travelling right down into Italy wild camping and aires all the way.

France is simply made for motorhoming
Enjoy your trip

Don't know about Camping Cheques ,Jack. But we found the ACSI Card great, sites are only 12e,14e or 16e off season. we were on a site last June in the Motorhome @ 16e/n and next to us there were a young couple from Bristol in a tent without ACSI Card paying 27euro/night.
