Spent Sunday night in Patsy Dans car park at the rear of the pub in company with other craicers Dan and Bob, hard core is down but beware around the farthest edge, I ended buried up to the axle. Fantastic welcome from the owner, great Guiness, and brilliant music. Highly recommend the spot.

Thanks for the tip, we tried it last week. What a nice spot, tucked away from the road and a great view over the lough. No charge other than buying a few beers in the pub - and that was no hardship

Hi, is there food served here or is it purely a "drinking" pub? :D

Yes.
It would appear he went to far for motorhomes by installing EHUs. A local campsite owner brought the authorities in.

Bob knows the whole story.

once he put ehu in a local complained he was running an illegal campsite and the planning authority have closed the rear of the pub for motorhomes.
it will cost 3 grand just to apply for permission and he knows the campsite will object bigtime.

yet another argument for no ehu.
a tap is all that is needed and somewhere to empty toilet, as above once ehu is installed the inference is that it is a campsite.

a real pity as the pub done it for the right reasons

So if the pub removes the ehu's, does the situation not return to status quo?

Sorry to see this one go I've stopped there a couple of times and was looking forward to going back.
If the EHU was disconnected would it be allowed to be used as was?

Thats a pity to hear not in our vicinity but when someone does something for the right reason ...it is a shame.
