Cheaper fuel?

There has been a dramatic overnight development. EU competition authorities have ‘raided’ the offices of some Oil companies and the office of at least one company that supplies Oil pricing information to the market on suspicion of market manipulation.

This EU investigation offers the hope that we will finally be able to answer the question – have we been systematically ‘ripped off’ over the years or not? At the moment, it’s an investigation and we don’t know what the authorities will find. However, the fact that they have seen fit to launch the investigation shows the urgent need for greater transparency in how the Oil market works. If wrong doing is uncovered, it promises to be as big a scandal as the Banks fixing the LIBOR interest rate.

There was a campaign online to boycott 2 of the main oil companys forceing them to drop their prices to get sales, then the others would follow suit to get back their sales and so on, but it never took off ,so its our own fault
