I'm considering a trip to Wales this Summer. Has anyone been ? Any places worthwhile visiting and good spots to overnight stop ?

If you're going via Holyhead the car park in Beaumaris is a lovely grassy spot overlooking the Menai straits and a few minutes from the castle and town. The attendant sends all overnight motorhomers to the spot by the water's edge. I can't remember the price but £2 or£3 to stay overnight.

Any particular area?
In the North, I'd agree Betws-Y-Coed and Beaumaris are nice places to visit, though I've not pitched up at either.
The club site in Caernarfon seems a long drive from the town, but there's a nice countryside walk down to the shore near the castle, leading back into town.
There are some nice roads up into Snowdonia around Blaneau Ffestiniog (?).
Electric Mountain in Llanberis is well worth a visit if you're into large-scale engineering, and it's in a country park.

I'm not go sure as yet of area just getting ideas and ill plan from that. Although info fancy hiking Snowden while I'm there. Anywhere really with nice scenery and walks for the dogs. Wildcamping is a bonus.

A lot of Wales is scenic - can't go far wrong with Snowdonia.
The South West (Pembrokeshire) has a walk around the coast - almost 200 miles IIRC if you're into serious walking. Tenby and Saundersfoot are a couple of lovely towns on the south coast, but can get busy.
Some nice places in between, although roads from North to South aren't very direct if you're travelling down.
