I have used this site http://www.france-voyage.com/en/ for the last couple of years. it's extremely well put together and with an enormous amount of detail.
It will allow you to plan a trip between two locations and it will list all the places of interest between them (with details and pictures).
try the alan rogers france campsite guide, alot of good sites per region, but beware, some we have visited must have had their website photos taken some years ago.
if you have an iphone, you can download the free App for same, just search Campsite Guides.
If you take a laptop on your travels, try the ACSI campsite guide on DVD. Load it onto your laptop and you have all the campsites in Europe with all details incl. coordinates and you can also route plan on it. Go to ASCI site then to shop, its about £9.00. I find it brilliant because you can see all the sites on the map on the screen with everything you want to know about them just a click away.
