Well Ken,
Any update on the meet? Maybe a Roll call would be a good idea.

Stayed at Lough Ree East on Thursday and Friday night before heading to Kilbeggan. Fantastic little site with a view to die for. John the owner is a complete gentleman. It was great to meet Ken (Taylor ). I have previously stayed on this site in a tent but the position next the lake for Motorhome is so much better

Kilbeggan was great. A great turnout of cars and visitors. I faded early last night cos it was my 3rd night on the sauce so was able to get up and enjoy the day, something I hadn't managed for many years at the show as most years I'm hanging on the sunday. I hope to make the meet next month but will now nearer the time

Hi Craicers! We can't go that weekend, aaaaaarghhhh! We would not be able to arrive till about 11pm and would have to leave early Sunday so too much journey/stay ratio. We have stayed a weekend at Lough Ree before, it is beautiful down by the lake, if you can, don't miss the sunset from the edge of the lake. We have framed pictures in our living room of the sunset. Athlone is a lovely town also. Very friendly and helpful staff at the site. Enjoy (jealous, jealous) Em & John

Bugger. I was chatting to Ally, Stevie and a few other craicers at Vantastival and said that I must attend the next meet. Unfortunately I've committed myself to marshall a charity cycle run that weekend. Coming from a small community, the few motorbikers always get asked to help out at these charity events. So yet again I'm saying "maybe next time ..."

Hi,
To those traveling to next meet, its in Loughree east in Ballykeeran about 4k out
the n55 from the n6, out of Athlone as you enter the village from Athlone its on the left side on a bad bend the site it self is behind the large stone clad house
The coordinates are n53○27'05" w007○53'42"
As said before its 30e for 2 nights or those lucky enough to have a bank holiday 40e for 3 nights plus ehu.
ps if you have a boat bring it along as it has its own slipway, and weather forecast is looking good

I'm a new craicer, met ally and a few craicers in Donagheys and I'd say the craic would be 90 alright!!

I will not be able to make it on Saturday but may be able to nip up Sunday to say hi, (all going well)

By the way for those on long weekend from north there's hot air balloons in loughkey forest park in Boyle on Sunday

Hope the meet goes well, and well done ken on the organising,

As the timings are based usually on the maximum permitted speed the N55 would probably be the best as you are unlikely to travel at 70mph in the motorhome
