Saw this yesterday here in Spain, from what I can make out its a former military mobile command vehicle and its registered in Switzerland. It had a couple with two Labradors on board.

a couple from Kildare have one over in South America at the moment i would love to do it i think there is a link on the site (motorhomecraic )to them somewhere

I think it could be a UNIMOG which I think are made by Mercedes. It certainly looks cook and is definitely a go anywhere vehicle.

I think you are right Jack, It is a 4x4 Mercedes Unimog, The ESB ( Electricy Board ) have many down South.

It was on a Mercedes, and guess what jack I saw another mehari this time in our local town and it was orange but as I was driving I couldn't get a photo

Yeah in some parts of Spain they are still quite popular. You will eventually get a pic yet.
