For reasons unknown even to ourselves we have decided to head to Leitrim over Easter week. We have a preference for parking up in towns and villages so we can go out and enjoy the pubs and restaurants and was wondering does anyone one have any suggestions.
Thanks Anna

Hi Lads, I see that some of you are heading to the Leitrim area, may I suggest you call into Drumcoura Lakes.I stayed there recently and had a fantastic time .The owner trains horses like a whisperer and its an amazing thing to watch. You can park in the equestrian centre and if you use the bar and restaurant ,he does not charge for parking. Its not too far from Andersons .We done both the one weekend and had a ball. Something to think about ? Cheers.

Had a great week in Leitrim, though alas missed Andersons. Went to the tourist office in Carrick on Shannon to ask about parking up in towns and villages and was told work away, given great advice about the lake/riverside parking and also was told its no problem in county council carparks. Found everywhere we went was very motorhome friendly and the smart pass idea by Waterways Ireland is excellent. If youre into fishing and enjoy a few pints its a great place to go.

10 day trip last July/ August spent in Waterways Harbours from Drumsna to Belleck. Great Craic. Met other Motorhomes doing same. Smart cards great for toilets & showers. Solar panel really came into its own on this trip :D
Waterways Ireland had article in caravan cruise Ireland last year welcoming Motorhomes to use their facilities. Money is money whether from cruisers or Motorhomes !
