Many thanks to Willie from RDLS (Rossdowney Leisure services)

Myself and Billy left our Motorhomes down to RDLS on Wednesday night and picked them up this morning with Solar Panels fitted. Absolutely fantastic job done and a great controller and meter also fitted, my batteries have never been reading as high as they are now.

Job very well done!!!

Thanks!

My batteries got pretty low over the weekend with some heavy use(on purpose), woke up the next morning with them nearly fully charged and that was on a cloudy and rainy day!

i cant really understand why anyone buys a noisy heavy genny when solar is quite sufficient.
my panel is only 85w and never had any problems, those that know me on here know i am very rarely on sites.

the best benefit of solar i find is when van laid up for a while, radio memory and various alarms have a drain on battery and even in winter a few amps keeps them charged.

I agree with Bob, haven't looked back since I fitted my 100w solar panel battery in good condition after days heavy use, personally I wouldn't be keen on a genny drumming away all day, would certainly give me a headache and I should think any neighbours wouldn't be too happy either.

With the prices appearing to drop all the time for solar panels, what is everyone paying to have them fitted and who has what size. I'm asking because last year I got a couple of quotes which made me consider doing it myself, but as usual I just don't have the time ( As well as a fear of cutting through the roof of my motorhome!) or somewhere to do it in the dry.

The problem is Jack, that I have a house in Spain which needs things done to it as well. SWMBO keeps telling me the sooner the work is done there then the quicker I will be able to retire out there and rent out the guest apartment and make way for all the craicers who will visit in their motorhomes
