James Nesbitt is fronting an eight-part ITV1 series, starting Monday 18 March at 8pm. In James Nesbitt’s Ireland the actor will explore his homeland and offer his own take on Irish life, its culture, history and people.

Well worth a watch for anyone interested in exploring Ireland.

Just watched................disappointed that he is going down the same old tourist route. Surely there's parts of this island that the same old same old drivel can be put to bed. We all know as motor homers that there is so much more to this island.

A missed opportunity. 🇧🇭 ..... .... :o

Hi, I watched it to-night ;James could have done the voice-overs from a nice warm studio and saved himself the trouble of being outside in the cold!

Let's hope the next six are better. Barry Amusements? Is that in the town where Motorhomers aren't welcome?

Looks like it's going out UK wide, so if nothing else it's exposing Ireland to new people.

Hi, I have to take my comment back; I have watched two progs. and they were very good.
I was pleased to see that the fishermen were wearing lifejackets, this is a good trend.
Ireland looks good in the Sunshine and I have seen fungi too!
When This programme makes it to sky it will help with all Ireland tourisim.

Dave.

Heard him on the one show and he said it was showing Ireland to a wider audience, so I suppose we shouldn't knock it as its got the potential to bring tourists to Ireland
