Anyone any experience with Air to Air heat pumps? thinking of fitting one of these to the house to keep the gas bills down.. http://www.heateasy.co.uk/cate…eat-Pumps/

Anyone use one? they seem to get very good reports.

Is phoenix or firmus not going past your door as the piped stuff is cheaper than the tanker stuff. What about changing to oil, i know its not cheap either but at least it can be bought in smaller quantities if needed.

Not a chance they are coming up here, they go down the road from the Abbey but went the other direction on our road :(

Gas is slightly dearer than Oil but more efficient so they work out about the same. Plus new Oil boiler would be more expensive than that Air to Air heat pump.

Top link can be retro-fitted no problem. Only a 65mm hole through the house needing drilled.

Original posting: 07.03.2013

Two years later: Finally got around to buying one and finished fitting it today.

What a piece of kit! can get heat from the outside down to -15, works as a cooler (air conditioner) in the summer and a heater in the winter. Equivalent to 3.6KW but only uses 720 watts (if I have the maths right)
