Is there different rules for a Motorhome if it weighs 3850 and you visit France? I have seen snippets of different things about it but nothing concrete.

I would have thought the rules re vehicle weights relate to the country in which it is registered, as long as your licence allows you to drive that weight of vehicle

You could be right, I seem to have read somewhere about different speed limits and rules, also it is treated like an HGV.
