The lounge seems to be were it’s at currently so in a bid to try and get posts up to more than one per week has anyone anywhere even planned near or far. For us all being well, we have boats booked to Spain this Easter time again , probably just the northern regions again same as last time regardless of weather,it’s a nice area with loads more to explore ,then at the end of June, down to Cherbourg this time with the view to spend a bit more time in France first then just head east

We have the ferry booked to Cherbourg for early April returning first week in July. Hoping to travel down as far as Valencia in Spain all going well.

Just booked our ferry to Bilbao, travelling out Mar 20th (oneway ticket).
As usual, our plan is to disembark the ferry, fill the diesel tank and head off...
Happy New Year

Currently looking at Ferry options for the summer and it's pricy, anyone have any inside track on a discount on Brittany Ferries, last years one no longer works :(

With the massive use of ferry travel discounts will be less and less and fares higher and higher,i think there’s no way round it,the DFDS route to Dunkirk has went from 1100 roughly to 1800.

Yeah, that's the sad reality. We badly need a new operator to shake things up a little, fuel costs are way down on a few years ago.

We've booked 4 weeks in September/ Oct, to Bilboa, price has gone way up and we weren't offered flexi and had to pay full upfront, possibly be our last year as prices are getting stupid, may look at Eurocamp and fly drive for future trips

Probably our last year with our current bus anyway, 3 kids in secondary at right now but none with state exams in 2026, we'll have one for Leaving Cert in 2027 and one for Leaving Cert and another for Junior Cert in 2028. This is realistically the last big family holiday so I've sucked it up and booked 3 weeks from the end of July, Rosslare Bilbao out and Cherbourg Dublin home, probably look to move on the current MoHo and take a few years of a break then get something smaller.

Off to the snow on 20th. Heading to Grand Bornand , close to Annecy. As usual a last minute panic to get the van sorted. It's in for a bit of welding and a window regulator replaced. Then needs MOTd.We are taking a month and havnd decided where to go after the skiing. As usual we will wing it

I've the ferry to Bilbao booked for September. As I've only a few weeks off from work, I've gotta minimise the travel time. I'd rather pay to arrive at my destination quickly than spending days driving down France.

Not for brittany ferries unfortunately, they are getting pricey alright to bilboa and they should set up a loyalty scheme for frequent users on the irish routes like stenaline has🫩

I got my outbound summer ferry paid for with tesco tokens on irish ferries, you get your tesco vouchers x 3 off irish ferries...we do some shopping at tesco for the specials etc and get the kerosene for the house and gas oil for the workshop from certa...the points don't be long adding up throughout the year🙂
