I envy you your trip. We did it in 2005 and with a Jf converted vw. The scenery is amazing. Oslo and Bergen are worth a look. There's a walk to a place called the Pulpit, if you google it it may come up.it's a fantastic walk and the end result is a view down a fjord that is unforgettable. Another place is Flamon the Sogne- fjorden. There's a train trip to the top and the walk down is not to be missed.www.flaamsbana.no www.visitflam.com. Hope your not fond of a pint because drink is veeeeeery expensive. Diesel is also expensive but has come nearer to here.

Have a ball. Sites are pretty common and some can be rough and ready but they all have something to offer.......mostly great views.

Hobey lucky you wish I was going to France with the motorhome. I'm flying out on the 18th March to pick up my Citroen Mehari from Bordeaux and hopefully some excellent Bordeaux Claret as well. Enjoy as I know you will as France and its people is great holiday destination.

We went there last June, it's a lovely spot, We stayed in a 5 star site for 16 euro a night using ACSI discount card. The lakes are nicer than the sea as the coast was very windy. ENJOY!

Annual fantasy pass purchased last year for €110, allows access to the park for 320 days of the year. by the time our year is up we expect to have 3 one week visits. overnight parking is free with this type of ticket, normally it costs €30 per night. There are no ehu, but there are showers and toilets. our trip at easter cost €420, throw in €200 for fuel, all in not a bad price for a week.

That works out very good indeed.
I wasn't aware of that type of pass. It could be well worth it for others on here with young family..

Well done!

Deisecamper we can't make up our mind England or
France our kids love disney and we would be very interested
In the annual pass, we were there 3 years ago
And bought individual passes which were very expensive
For a 3 day pass. 3 kids 2 under 7 where's the best place to
Get the annual pass. The boat to England seems very expensive and
feel we should go that bit extra and go to France. Also thinking of the
Haven site in hafan y mor in Wales great facilities and also has
a new campsite, then maybe Alton towers or legoland Windsor. Any ideas.

France without a doubt, better weather, better food and cheaper vin. If you go to Disney, I can recommend a site called "camping Jablines", it"s in a park near a lake that has man made, white sand beaches, cafes and water sports. There is also a shuttle bus to Disney (about 20min. away), and you can get a train into Paris from the Disney station, we"ve been there three times and found it to be a brilliant little site with a good welcome.

Oh yeah, nearly forgot, we"re heading for St Jean des Monts (Camping la Yole) then up the Loire (Camping Valley des Vignes) for a few weeks in July, can"t wait. They"re both sites we"ve used in the past, I just fancied a "known entity" this year with minimal hassle.

well plans have been made and the motorhome is staying home, the reason is swmbo is heading out to Spain mid June and I will follow a week or so later for a couple of days and then again in July for a week or so and she will return home again in August once all the various members of family have been out for a holiday and some work has been completed at the hascienda.

It also means that I may get the odd weekend away with just me and the hound :D O-)
