Hi, All, the "height bar Fight" is not new ;I always contacted the local councils to put the Motorhome/camper view forward. I took this picture on Bangor seafront in 1984 after the council decided to erect height bars at the main carpark on Bangor seafront!
I had success in Carrickfergus when I got the bars raised to 9ft 6ins and then helped to have them removed! Our Main Car park at the harbour in Carrickfergus is now Motorhome friendly!

I've been tormenting the Ardmore council regarding the height barriers they have erected there but have recieved a resounding silence from them so far. I've heard from other sources that the council simply didn't want their little town to fill with bulky motorhomes and I'm fighting a loosing battle... I'll keep sending emails anyway... :D

In addition ... I enjoy the photos you've been sharing of that lovely little transit camper merlin man.

I must have a dig through my old photos for the white oul pop-top transit camper my folks had before the GMC.. It was a cracker too.
