Armorique Cork to Roscoff shop

 ·

I’ve just booked the Armorique from Cork to Roscoff with Brittany Ferries. I know on the Spanish crossing the ferries sell 24 cans of Grolsch in the shop for around €22 where as a pint on board is between €5 and €6 so I tend to buy a slab and then I have one or two left when I arrive in port and its cost me the equivalent of 4 pints on board.

Anyway my question is does anyone know if Armorique has the same or similar deal? Or if anyone is crossing before the end of August could they check for me please.

Tight! Yes but I am retired and have to look after the penny’s.

Don't forget the Czechoslovakian beers (oops, Czech Republic and Slovakia).
First of all, Regent from Třeboň.

It would be so much easier if you drank wine. 🤔

It would, I don’t.

Except for the Po Valley (where I live), all of Italy is stunning.
Unesco here, Unesco there.
Mountains almost 5,000 meters high, the Dolomites, lower but enchanting.
Forests in the Apennines down to Calabria, Caribbean sea in Salento and Sardinia, even a desert (always in Sardinia).
Fantastic Sicily with its archaeological sites, the baroque of the Val di Noto, the Norman churches of Palermo and its surroundings.
And a fantastic sea.

If I think that you can't say you've seen Rome if you haven't spent at least ten days there.
And three in Florence and Venice, one week in Tuscany and one in Umbria and one in Marche region.
Two days in Naples and, one in Siena, and Orvieto.
Geez, what a heritage.

I love my country.

Have to agree, the scenery is beautiful in Italy. We got the Facciarossia train from Rome to Naples and it was gorgeous. Touching 299km/ph at times

And back to my question?????

As far as I know, alcoholic beverages purchased at the duty free on board cannot be consumed on the ship but the packages disembarked unopened.

Smile, Max

The shop is not duty free as I am travelling between EU countries.

I have bought the grolsch 24 packs between Ireland and Spain a few times and had no issues. Hoping it will be the same between Ireland and France.

I usually sail out of Rosslare and I've never noticed the slabs of beer on sale in the shop on brittany ferries but then again I'm usually up in the bar downing pints of ice cold heino😃😃😃

The pints are a bit pricey alright and I can understand your logic if your watching your spondoolies being retired, maybe best to bring a few cans with you up to your room just in case they are not sold on board...cans are pricey here in the south also as i'm sure you know with the minimum pricing tax they brought in a couple of years back but if your up north at all for other business you might be lucky to get some good deals in Sainsbury's or the likes...I got great deals on cans of heineken in Sainsbury's just before Christmas so loaded up🙂

I have taken my own cans and cool box in the past as we tend to stay in the cabin with the dog. But after seeing the slabs in BF on the Spanish crossing I rely on shop.

Mind do a trip to NI before we head to France so maybe just pick up some there.
