BILBOA VETS AND PARKING

 ·

I'm travelling back to Ireland 2nd Feb and need to bring Spud the dog to the vet. Anywhere I've looked in BILBAO looks tight for parking. As we are returning 2nd, I'm thinking of the vets for the 30th.
Any advice or help appreciated

Try and find a vet in a small town before you get to Bilboa, easier to get parking and much cheaper, city parking in the van is very difficult, I don't know what direction you're coming from so can't help there

What about the aire overlooking the city at the top of the hill, there’s a bus number 58 every 30 mins takes you into center of town 200 metres from aire, sorry not sure if they allow dogs on bus

There's a site in el puente that's 30 minutes from the boat and the small town apparently has a vets. Meanwhile I'll start looking through the above lists, thanks all

Rob here is a quote from JJF

Dave, I use the one in Haro, about 2 hrs or so south of Bilbao. Appreciate it may not be on your route.
The vet opening hours 09:00 to 14:00 and closes for siesta and reopens at 17:00 to 21:00, so hours are good.

Good stopover at the sports complex in town , restaurant right at the stop, it only opens between 14:00 to 16:00 and all the Spanish workers go there. Menú del día is superb, great wine too. Wort going there for that alone. Vets within easy walking distance.

Vets stop is here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/rhRBurgsHbAm29uZ8?g_st=ic

Overnight stopover & restaurant is here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/uquoRD5pyhgf52QRA?g_st=ic
