I am not sure where to put this topic,
I know many who visit France go to see the Normandy beaches.
Something closer to home in Enniskillen Cathedral until Feb 8 there is an exhibition with knitted scenes.
If you Google "The Longest Yarn" to find photos .
"The Longest Yarn, which is on display at St Macartin's Cathedral, Enniskillen, features 80 scenes detailing the preparation and battles of the 1944 Normandy campaign. The project is the brainchild of Tansy Forster, originally from Magherafelt, County Londonderry who is now living in Normandy, France."
A few of our knitting group in Dublin visited it last Friday. Everyone who has seen it has been very impressed.
It will appeal to anybody who has an interest in crafts and history.
