We’re all sitting last night talking about the trip to Bulgaria in the van and not just places , but the people you meet along the way, one that stands out is the man who owns (camper stop Belgrade aire)he never got Irish people in before and simply couldn’t do enough for us, it’s like couldn’t believe people would want to go the Serbian capital in a camper from Ireland, the history of him his family and his country was fascinating, he spent about an hour telling us he fought in the Balkan war as a Bosnian Serb , but was an engineer / maintenance for military vehicles, and very happy with peace now ,when the war was over he got a job in the unimog factory working on overlanders /campers,and testing these amazing vehicles, he left after 8 years, and bought a old derelict house near the capital ,opened a brilliant aire in the garden with all facilities, and spends nearly every weekend and all holidays in the Serbian country side in his campervan , he told us Serbia is absolutely full of national park type camping lakes, and the Danube are the biggest pull for locals, from a camping point of view, very interesting we thought

Jason, Your post above highlights just how great it is to have a motorhome. If you were going to Spain each year,, sitting beside the pool sipping your all inclusive local beer and spirits, not moving out of the resort you would not get speaking to these interesting people. Travel definitely enlightens you to the world. Over the years we have met and conversed with so many friendly people and learned about their way of life. Long may it continue
