Wondering if anyone has been to Corsica with their MH or even hired one when there ?

From what I read and know, Corsica is the least welcoming place for motorhomes.
Wild camp dangerous, practically mandatory to go to the sites.
Even the French don't think of going there.

We have friends who have family there, including a local mayor so we're minted as far as that goes. It was the tourist bit I was wondering about. Wild camping dangerous because the place is a tinderbox.
