With some hard work by one of the members we have obtained a discount with Brittany Ferries

The discount is on all their sailings from Ireland to France and Spain and is 7% on all crossings with the exception of onboard accommodation and special offers.

Bookings must be done through this link : Click HERE

you can also book by phone on 021 427 7801 (toll-free) and quote the following discount code : 623708

Do not share this outside of this site on the likes of Facebook etc as it will be monitored by both Brittany Ferries and ourselves and will result in it being withdrawn etc

Hi again, I tried ringing Brittany Ferries to enquire if I could avail of the 7% discount and the nice operator on the phone advised that this can only applied if the booking is made via the link on this group. I pleaded a little and I'm told if I can confirm my Motorhome Craic account number and send an email BF will consider my query. I f ya don't ask etc... My next challenge is where do I get my MC account number? I've checked my profile etc but can't seem to find it!! Any suggestions? TIA

Make sure you book separate outbound and return segments as the discount is only applied on the outbound trip if you make a return trip booking.

I emailed Brittany Ferries yesterday asking if it was possible to retrospectively apply the discount to my booking within 2 hours the discount was applied. If you dont ask you dont get! they did say that in future bookings must be done through the club link. Thank you to the Club for arranging. ;-)

Well just in case it is not apparent here is my explanation .
There is no doubt that this site is a shadow of its former self when Ally was at the helm.
That man has had the house fall down on him in recent times but lately he has started to show interest in this site again.
Recently Con910 asked a question regarding the discount for ferry crossings being advertised here and very quickly Ally replied with the answer .
Ally made it very clear that he did not understand the reply back to him like many others, but then instead of that being rectified others decided to continue with the funny theme.
That is my answer and I have no intention of keeping this subject going.

There is a very different attitude to the foreign Gaelic language in NI compared to ROI, for obvious reasons.
I don't speak a word of it, don't need too, don't intend too and no reason why I should when only 0.06% speak it in NI and not even a high percentage in ROI speak it and those that do mostly (all?) speak English.

Hence why I didn't understand what was typed. If you wish to type it knock yourself out, but please put it's English version also 😁

If someone came on here and spoke French or German then that's understandable as it would be their national language.

But not my forums any longer so the admin can do what they like with this post 😁

Now if you think Yon ejit’s a quare gulpin! I'll happily accept.

Go raibh Míle maith agar should have been "Go raibh Míle maith agat" and there never was any intention to offend or politicise so begging all yer pardons. The reason for failure to respond or correct was we nearly lost a family member in a head-on 2 days ago so again my sincerest apologies for tardiness in attending to same! Have a great few days however it is spent and enjoyed in yer neck of the woods. Happiness, Health and Good Fortune to all and all the very best for 2025!! :fgrin:  :* 8-) ....forgot to mention...I got the discount :D

If you click on your name on the left then on the address bar at the top the last 4 digits is your number, in your case 9281

Hi,
Just wondering Does this brittany ferries discount apply to users in this forum also ??? or do you have to be a member of the motorhome craic club ???
I've my ferry booked to bilboa at easter and fully paid so if the discount is available to me I might be a bit late...hope to hit south Spain next Xmas all going well to warm the bones so could use it for that booking though.😊.

If memory serves me correct just before you enter the port entrance there is a bit of a spaghetti junction but if ye keep her under 100 you'll be grand😉...I just used Google maps/sygic and kept her slow and steady till I got the correct turn off..motorway was savage when i picked it up but pricey,I think €35 each way heading towards zaragoza...we tried the national roads another time and it was a disaster bringing us up over mountains and adding a hour or two extra😃😃...never again

Yes, pretty easy. You head the “wrong” way at the start and go round a roundabout and head towards the motorway. Assuming you’re not first follow someone for the first few hundred metres. It helps if your passenger can look for signs (“salida” means exit) and which lane you should be depending on where you’re heading eg Bilbao (the port is several miles from the city) Santander, Zaragotha or wherever.

Google maps is pretty good to get a preview of your route before you go.

Cos I live across the sheugh I cannot access the discount as it only shows Irish routes so I was going to try ringing them and going into plead mode.
However I may need my membership number but cannot locate it.
Any tips?

I sent a screenshot after of that page to brittany ferries, unfortunately they wouldn't retrospectively apply a discount but said I could avail of it going forward....maybe it was because I had paid in full for the trip in easter before the discount was announced....not to worry, great to have the discount going forward all the same as that ferry to bilboa is very pricey compared to going to cherbourg.
