Has anyone seen sky’s €15 per month for life deal for a sim only plan? It appears to be too good to be true, unlimited calls data etc that can be used in Ireland the UK and EU.
I’d be interested to hear if anyone has got the package and if it does what is says it does.

I don't think it's as good as it looks , they say unlimited and then on roaming they say full allowance not unlimited, maybe you can phone and find out

The deal seems to be very good indeed. From what I can find on Google, there are no fair usage limits on roaming data.
There is a large thread running one Boards.ie about the deal, which shows there are lots of teething issues with some annoyed customers porting back within the 14 day cooling off period. Similar to 48, which I am on, there is a lot of faffing about trying to connect to a mobile operator when you enter another EU country ( as compared to the seamless transfer with Vodafone or Eir ) and this is unlikely to change anytime soon.

However, getting unlimited data at home and while roaming in Europe for €15 per month for folk who spend a few months abroad would probably be enough of a sweetener to accept some frustrations during use.

Interesting someone else talked about it being a complex process of connecting to a different countries network. I think I’ll leave it alone and stick with Vodafone for the time being at least.

A few things that would concern me.
The website, has headings like Fair pricing, mix it up, Truly unlimited 99%coverage.
But you can't click on the them to expand what are they actually mean?
The FAQ.
"Whilst in Europe and the UK, you will have unlimited calls and texts, to ‘phone home’."
Is there any point in calling your Home Phone, are you charged to call Family mobiles/ landlines. They are the most likely ones you want to contact.
What about the statement.
You can Roam Like Home, using your Sky Mobile SIM at no extra cost in over 40 countries around Europe and the UK. You use your data allowance as if you’re ‘at home’.
Where does the " Unlimited calls & texts come into the equation, to who and what are they.?
The FAQ's as usual give you more questions then answers.
Still if you just want a data sim to use for some kind of security /tracker. €10 per month isn't bad.

The wife signed up to it today... We may nip up to NI before Xmas, I'll let you know how big a faff it transpires to be! Also we're rural, so it'll be interesting to see connection coverage.

Also downloaded the full t&C's and there really doesn't appear to be a fair usage cap set out anywhere in them! Have a full set of contracts to review this evening... Will also let you know if anything has been well hidden in those!
