Understandable, but a balanced strategy would involve the provision of alternative parking for motorhomes.
It is nor uncommon to see regulations controlling where and or when motorhomes can or cannot park in Europe.
However, such regulations are accompanied by the provision of an Aire.
Such a balanced approach protects the tourist income of the local economy from the motorhome based tourist sector.
I have used St Anne's a lot (not been this year due to health problems but now i have been given the go ahead to drive we are back next week)) and there is no need to overnight on the prom, the council has now provided 5 car parks (one 5m max)with dedicated bays for motorhomes for a reasonable price and on one car park they have provided a sluice at one of the toilets for £1. will update after next week as its the summer holidays and i expect it to be rammed due to the amount of new motorhomers. Incidentally Blackpool down the road from here who were anti motorhome now provide dedicated parking on a few of their car parks.looking at some of the social media sites Morecambe just up the coast is also taking a hammering from campers. this is the reason i go to Europe.
