30th & 31st August at the Chimney Corner Football Club grounds, ( See https://maps.app.goo.gl/UnhU1sqdMh19124q7 ) all in aid of the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team.
This charity deserves our support, it is the rescue team that was involved in the rescue after the tragic events when Ally & Julies son William lost his life. Please come along and support this very worthwhile cause.
It will be a MHC get together to offer our support and the cost is only £25 for both nights. There will be music in the clubhouse and a cover charge on the door is £5 to pay the band and of course its up to the individuals if they want to go.
Antrim town is a short taxi ride away and one will be available at short notice if you want to go in.

Hi Folks,

It's been a while for sure. We hope you all can make it to this fundraiser, it's a cheap weekends parking but all for a great cause.
I had the awful task of going to my son's inquest on the 26th June, after the inquest we went and visited Llanberis Mountain Rescue, a humbling experience. I looked at the place our son lay after being recovered from Crib Goch, watched the volunteers cry with us, many tears and many hugs as they explained what they do, how they do it and more.

Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team are the busiest team in the UK, being close proximity to Snowdon and with Instagramers aplenty it gets crowded. A lot with people with no experience and the wrong gear, the complete opposite of our experienced Son who fell due to mischance, it could happen to any of the LMRT at any time.

It costs them £130,000 per annum to do what they do, all of that amount is donations, all the mountain rescue teams get £3500 between them from the Welsh government.

We aimed to raise £11000 by 11/11/2024, one year from our sons accident. We are now around £16000 at this early stage, but that's no reason to stop.

We realise it's maybe harder to donate to something that's far away from home, however, if you listened to the story of how they came to our sons aid and how they helped his team (Team83) down the mountain to rescue, the story of what our sons team went through you'd have a very cold heart not to have a tear in your eye.

We know a lot of you have already donated previously, so this event is for us all to come together like we have done in the past and support this vital service. ALL proceeds will be donated to LMRT.
