Interesting article Martin and thanks for sharing (also it's the first time I've heard of that website!)
I noticed though that when comparing the energy contained in a bottle of gas versus batteries it was completely silent on solar replenishing the batteries.

I also liked the warm water method of determining how full / empty a gas cylinder is. I must test it out with my thermal imaging camera
