Anyone know a good vet's in the Bilbao area , I could Google but I'm looking for a recommendation

Dave, I use the one in Haro, about 2 hrs or so south of Bilbao. Appreciate it may not be on your route.
The vet opening hours 09:00 to 14:00 and closes for siesta and reopens at 17:00 to 21:00, so hours are good.

Good stopover at the sports complex in town , restaurant right at the stop, it only opens between 14:00 to 16:00 and all the Spanish workers go there. Menú del día is superb, great wine too. Wort going there for that alone. Vets within easy walking distance.
