as SWMBO and myself do want to visit Eire at some point
(Northern Ireland is also on the list but not yet)

with out being stupid - and based on arriving via Dublin and leaving via Rosslare - what would people say is a must visit / drive in a 10 day stay?

don't want to charge around like a mad thing - but some ideas from those who know would be good to hear

(and those ferry prices..... cripes)

West Cork is a jewel in the crown and shouldn't be missed.
I would say that, being from the same county an all 😊

Having recently driven in GB I was not impressed by the condition of the roads plus the crazy volume of traffic.
In comparison you'll find the RoI a much better driving experience.

Just taking the p---- out of the Corkonians, but some of the Sat nave routes, you would want to have your teeth well secured.

Plan is to do maybe 8 to 10 nights

I live in that big bump on the right of England - east anglia and tbh it is a bugger to get out of….. we don not have any motorways and it’s two hours to get out of the swamps…. To get across to either of the ferry ports would be a good six hours on top - so would stop over in the midlands / wales for a night….

That would then give maybe 8 or so days exploring before heading back to the Norfolkians…..

I bloody hope so - our roads are as reliable as a politician’s promise

And we now have a breed of idiots on the roads….

We were in Belgium at the beginning of the month and the standard of driving was so much better

Think what it's like for us over here. We have to get a ferry to go anywhere

Probably head limerick direction, follow that coast round to rosslare ,with 8 or so stopovers it’ll be a fantastic drive

True

But you don’t have to put up with Sunak or twats from Essex

And at least you can freely visit europe
