Barcelona camper storage

Will be in Spain in July and need somewhere to securely store a campervan for one week, preferably close to Barcelona port as going on a week long cruise.

I could park at Barcelona airport, but as you can't reserve a specific space I'm not sure I want to risk just turning up and finding the spaces aren't suitable for my campervan.

I've found a place 37km away, www.caravaningparkvalles.com, but this means the journey each way in a taxi is more expensive than the storage, and it then makes the overall cost quite high.

Anybody got any experience / suggestions?

We had to return home unexpectedly due to the death of a good friend. Our motorhome is stored at https://www.caravaning-leo.com/ on the outskirts of Reus.
The owner, Leo, is a great guy to deal with and speaks good English. He included transfers to and from the airport in his overall charge.
I know it's a bit away from Barcelona but there is a very good rail connection from the area to and from Barcelona.
I'm sure Leo would drop you off at the railway station in Tarragona, which is about 20 minutes away by car, where there are regular intercity express trains to/from Barcelona which take just over an hour.

Leo can be contacted on +34 659 10 42 07

Agree, there’s a campsite at the airport, it’s unpopular because it’s right beside runway, and reviews say it’s dirty but maybe suit your needs , 32 euros a night though

I've stayed here on several occasions, https://www.masbes.com/ very quiet and peaceful. I left my MH there for over a week two years ago when I had to return home for a funeral. It may be too far out for you, 10 min €15 taxi to Gerona airport where you can get a bus to Barcelona or train from Riudellots de la Selva. Have you tried contacting your cruise line ? they may be able to arrange parking in the port for you. Enjoy the cruise and STAY AWAY FROM THE BUFFET.

Bear in mind that some insurers limit the amount of time that a Motorhome can be left unoccupied when away from its normal base. The number of 3 nights springs to mind. Not widely known I think, and like driving overweight etc not used as a sanction, but the option exists. Probably deeply buried in small print.

You could always park it up on an air or campsite and ask someone to fly over and look after it for a week, you'd never know there might be some retiree with nothing else on the calendar, who might just go out of his / her way to oblige you. if things fell in the right way He or She could also drop you to the port when you collect them from the airport. :-/ O-)

I always like to think outside the Cube. :P
