Just home from a very pleasant overnight at The Corner House bar.
A great welcome, good food and entertainment after 9:30. Fairly level, sheltered, peaceful parking just the rear of the bar
Trevor was delighted to see us and remembered the Craic meet there a couple of years back.
I highly recommend it . :ok_hand:

Shortly after the last meet-up there was a slot on radio Ulster( William Crawley ) about alternative tourism in Ireland mainly the north I think ,and about how to attract tourists to rural areas and the guests on the show was Trevor (pub of the year 2023 ni)and and two others , Trevor spoke about how he’s utilising his massive car park and pub to attract Motorhome tourists and spoke well about it, well yer man Crawley might as well have made fun of Trevor, saying all sorts of negativity and almost scoffed his idea of Motorhome tourists visiting local rural areas, i looked at the radio and said, you eejit, let the fella talk getting him on the show then giving his idea no traction all ,he said at one point to Trevor, are you serious is there people who’ll go just to your pub to stay in a Motorhome, idiot , the interview might still be online somewhere

Thankfully there are a small few who think it's a good idea, for themselves and the locality, based on last weekend in Lime Works, approx 40 unites, I'm told most weekends are like that, so say ( 40 weekends) a conservative estimate €150 per unit, that over €600k and could easily be twice that, we spent a lot more than that on a special anniversary dinner.

Well... I say to hell with the naysayers, I'll still be looking for a good pub welcome where I can spend a few quid in the locality and have a good time 🙂

I think from here on in there’s blue grass music sessions ,also free ,the first Saturday of every month, and traditional last Saturday of every month ,it is a decent venue, and Motorhome and dog friendly
