Just got this August DVB-T405, wireless Freeview TV Transmitter. We are not keen on having a TV in the van but I saw this and thought it would be an alternative. I've tested it with the small aerial and also plugged it into the socket for aerial on the van. It sends data to the iPad and you can watch the Free view channels. I'm amazed at the size of it for what it does, you can compare it to the van key. I'm off for a few days so will get a chance to fully test it. I've also part fitted an Avtex WiFi just waiting for a good dry day to get the aerial onto the roof

Sorry can't do the link but I got it on Amazon

Mrs S is away for a few days and I'm going to head down South for a couple of days, I'll be trying it out. It's picking up the RTE channels on Free view here

A handy bit of kit if you don't want a TV but if you have a TV its hard to beat the old fire stick .

I use the TpLink in the van with the laptop, for the RTE, virgin, TV4 players mostly for the Rugby, there is not much on TV I'd watch anyway, we have a TV sat system in the van, but to be honest, the time to set it up and the stuff that's on show, it's just not worth the effort.
In kilkenny this weekend, so I'll watch the Leinster match in the Front Room (pub in John St Lower) 😊

I have no idea over on that side of the Irish Sea, but most of our Uk based TV channels have an over the internet access live.... so I tend to just use a laptop or an iPad in that situation.

The only thing is that can happen is if you are in foreign areas so a VPN is a necessary godsend

(Unlike my totally immoral corrupt identical evil twin who swears blind by his bent amazon fire stick where he has access to everything it seems for around £60 a year....)

Tested it down in Waterford. It picked up the RTE channels plus a few more but not the UK ones
