Bit of a strange one, or maybe not. Came down to start and run the van and the starter battery is dead as a dodo.
Leisure battery showing full, starter battery showing 0.
Have it hooked up to the car and starter battery showing 14.5 on the board, but not turning over engine, just clicking.
Does anyone know, if I connect a charger to the frame and jump lead point, will this charge the battery, or do I need to attach direct to the battery.

We had something similar a few years ago and put in a new starter thinking it was faulty. We discovered later (accidently), that if we unlock the habitation door without unlocking the cab door with the key, it doesn't disable the immobiliser and when you try to start the engine, it just clicks!

Yes if will charge trough the jump point, make sure you have a good earth.
If you put jump leads on and still only got the solenoid clicking, you may not have a good connection, particularly the earth.
It's strange to have a 0 volt most things stop working below 10 volts there must be some kind of short, or something else going on.
