Lebara Sim

 ·
Posted: 12.02.2024  ·  #1
I just got a Lebara Sim for £1 per month for 6 months. 15Gb of data that can be used abroad. I'm putting it in an old phone so I can tether my iPad to it. I have started it now so the first month will run out half way in the holiday and the new one will start effectively giving 30Gb.
Between the data on my phone and the Missus phone and that we should have enough for our upcoming trip. I have resisted getting a modem and aerial so far. My son has been using it for his kids for ages now

A friend of mine got a modem and aerial a couple of years ago. He was recently saying that he has hardly used it and is questioning his decision to buy it. He generally hot spots off his phone and the signal is usually strong enough through the phone alone.
He's currently in Spain using the phone and the modem and external aerial is lying idle.
4G and 4G seems to be strong everywhere now.

Got it here, don't know how to attach a link. I think it's just in the Lebara website

Worth looking at Uswitch for exclusive deals on Lebara. Although this may only work for U.K. subscribers.
I have a Lebara sim (Vodafone) as an additional back up for blind spots on my Smarty sim (Three). U switch gave a better deal than the Lebarra website.

I think the question could have been aimed at @petereire. ? but even if not, it's still worth knowing whose data sim is it.

Tried the Lebara sim in France. It worked OK but our mobiles with O2 gave a higher signal. I'm thinking of fitting WiFi and looking at Avtex or Maxview systems Has anyone fitted any of these?

A friend of mine fitted a WiFi system with it's own sim and an external antenna.
He generally hasn't bothered using it preferring to hotspot off his phone, which is on the Vodafone Red Unlimited package.
He's currently in southern Spain and having no issues.
