I don’t think I’ve ever seen this place as busy, the aire itself is full, overflow car park is full about 4pm daily and vans leaving and move on as no space. The volume of motorhomes has increased dramatically and the big difference we see is that there is virtually no British vans at all.

That’s a shame if people are long staying. I think it was intended to be used by people using the shops in addition to parking overnight.

Having experienced the place being chock-a-block in years past at this time of year we are booked into La Manga from Sunday week for two months. At about €400 per month (€13 odd per night) it's a no-brainer
Then heading west towards Portugal when things start to free up in March.

It’s a 72hr aire.
There are folk here months.

I see a clampdown coming.

A few years back there was a portacabin there with a security guard he used to make a note of registrations and I believe move people who over stayed. Has he gone?

There are three other free Aires close by I wonder if they are all chocker too? My favourite of the three was Archena. That said I haven’t been since 2019.

The BIG one. It has reviews ranging from 'wouldn't touch the place with a barge pole' to 'a super place will definitely be back', so we decided to give it a punt and see for ourselves.
We've a pair of e-bikes so commuting to the local shops, restaurants etc won't be a problem.

No, he is still here. But have not seen anyone being moved. There is a few Dutch vans who have been here for over a month, never moved….. the services here are always busy with vans calling in and servicing and moving on. We’re heading up to the thermal springs to the north west of Murcia for a couple of days.

Is that the one on the south of the Mar Menor Colin?
We've been there but not stayed as we were already on a small site towards Carthagena.
